New: the Remote Imaging Solar Observatory (RISO) program! The remote observatory allows teachers and students anywhere in the world to log in and operate the Meade Telescope. Teachers log in to our website at a given time and control the Meade telescope from their very own classroom! Students can use the telescope to view features on the sun, and take pictures like those in our Image Gallery! It's a fun, interactive way for students to learn about features on the sun. This exciting program is now available for scheduling. Email with any questions, or to schedule a session. Portions of the program are supported by NASA through the Georgia Space Grant Consortium.
