Free Astronomy Night
We invite you to join us (weather permitting), at Providence Canyon State Park, for stargazing under a dark sky! We will start at 7:30 p.m. EDT with a presentation by Dr. Rosa Williams about various objects visible in the Fall evening sky. Afterward we will move to our telescopes to view the planets Jupiter and Saturn, and then “dark-sky objects” such as the spectacular Andromeda Galaxy (M31), the Double Cluster in Perseus, and many clusters and nebulas along the path of the Milky Way!
Feel free to bring your own lawn chairs for more comfort. Main entrance is off Rte. 39C. Meet us at the field between playground and restrooms.
Please note the park has a parking fee: $5
