How do you dance on an asteroid? What can an asteroid tell us about our past and our future? Join the CCSSC crew and special guests for a 30-minute discussion on NASA’s mission to collect samples from asteroid Bennu, which could tell us about the earliest history of our solar system. We’ll talk about the launch in 2016 (which CCSSC webcasted from Florida), and the current TAG phase of the mission marking the first time NASA will collect pieces of an asteroid and return them to Earth for study. This will be the largest sample return from space since the Apollo program.
Can’t join us live? Enjoy a re-watch party with us Saturday, October 24 at 8 p.m. Our crew will be back online watching with us and fielding questions.
