Event Details

UPDATED: We hope you were able to join the Space Science Center team, WDAK’s Wes Carroll and panelists during our webcast in preparation for NASA’s Demo-2 launch featuring SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule on Wednesday May 27.  During that webcast the launch was scrubbed and is currently scheduled for Saturday, May 30.  The CCSSC team will be back on Saturday, along with some of the panelists, for a webcast watch party of NASA’s Livestream of the launch starting at 2 PM ET.  They will be interacting with the audience and answering your questions.  Do you have a question now? Submit here.

For the first time in 9 years, America will launch NASA astronauts to space from American soil. NASA’s Demo-2 mission (DM-2) will be the first crewed test flight of the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft, and it has been re-scheduled for launch from the Kennedy Space Center’s historic Pad 39A (launch site of Apollo 11) to the International Space Station on 30 May 2020.

In the event the launch is rescheduled again, the Space Science Center team plans to go live about 90 mins prior to launch time. Stay tuned to our Facebook page or webcast page for updates.  If you have any questions send an e-mail to info@ccssc.org.
