Event Details

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo Moon landing, Coca-Cola Space Science Center will present a day of fun activities and events, including an appearance by Apollo 13 Lunar Module Pilot Fred Haise. Come and see real moon rocks and learn about lunar exploration. Investigate fun science concepts with interactive science demonstrations. Build and launch air rockets with commemorative Saturn V designs. Enjoy shows in our Omnisphere Theater, NASA artifact tours, observatory tours, our Space Shuttle Odyssey and more. Concessions will be available.

During a portion of this event, a LIMITED number of guests will have the opportunity to have a photograph taken with legendary Apollo 13 Astronaut, Fred Haise. Guests participating in this limited photo opportunity MUST have photo-passes which will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis after the opening of the CCSSC facility on the morning of Saturday, June 22. Each pass entitles up to 5 family/group members to be in the photograph. Those who pre-purchase event tickets online will be allowed entrance at 9:45 a.m. and access to the photo-pass line. The photo event will only take place during a limited time window, and once the time has expired no further photos will be taken.
