Event Details

You’re invited to the Coca-Cola Space Science Center on Saturday, March 4, for the next of our series of free Astronomy Nights! We’ll begin at 7 p.m. in our Omnisphere Planetarium, with Dr. Rosa Williams pointing out current constellations and bright objects in the evening skies. Weather permitting, we will then move outside to telescopes on our South Lawn to view the Waxing Gibbous Moon, Mars, and the planetary conjunction (close approach) of Jupiter and Venus! As the sky darkens, we’ll turn to double stars, the “Double Cluster” in Perseus and other star clusters, and the Orion Nebula.

7PM: Presentation in Omnisphere Theater

8PM: Telescope Viewing (Weather permitting)

THIS IS A FREE EVENT.

Parking is available in front of the building and just past the fountain with parallel parking on the road.
